Our first day of the workshop in Apuela was full of expectations and emotions. We are always eight tutors for each workshop. We work very hard preparing the best methodologies, materials and the technic equipment. It is always a challenge finding out how the young people in the new community we visit will respond. From Apuela’s college came twenty youngsters between 13 to 18 years old to the workshop. On the second day the workshop is much more interesting, the children are coming with stories from their grandparents and from the neighbourhood and we are going to record those tales. The third day is the most important one, we define the stories, draw the storyboards, characters and backgrounds. On the sixth day of the workshop all the characters and backgrounds have become alive.
The animation becomes magic!! We finish the animation process, record the sound effects and finalize editing. The teamwork was again successful.
